Amended I-140 question.

Do we know how long do they take to clear the application after
amended I-140?
Will they wait till amended I-140 is approved, before they look into my case or the amended I-140 receipt will be fine?

So far we haven\'t seen any 485 approval before the amended 140 got approved ... guys correct me if you have seen any posting otherwise.

I got my ammended I-140 approved in 2 weeks and then my lawyer send that approved I-140 notice tO INS and after 4 to 5 days I got I-485 approved

When you said amended I-140 approval, do you mean an approval notice or just a receipt?

I have not seen a receipt myself. I am not sure, if the approval notice is different than the receipt. VSC has mailed the receipt to my attorney after a week. Attorney will be filling the RFE including the I-140 receipt soon.

Any idea?

when I got REf for Redo of I-140, my lawyer applied for ammended I-140 and when the lawyer got Recepit for ammended I-140 he send that receipt as reply to RFE .
When I got ammended I-140 approved , my lawyer send that ammended I-140 approval notice to INS and INS approved my I-485 after 4 to 5 days after receiving ammended I-140 approval notice.

Could you please tell me some of the dates? When did you replied for RFE with receipt and how many days later you receive the approval.

Could you please post how long did you have to wait before you recieve your amended I-140 approved. Did it take about couple of weeks to get amended I-140 approved? If you could please post the dates on your I-140 application, received date, approved date etc.. will help

Here are the details for ammended I-140:

received date - sept 6 2000
notice date - sept 13 2000
my attorney received the receipt of ammended I-140 on sept 21st 2000
ammended I-140 approved on sept 28th 2000, my attorny received I-140 approval notice on Oct 05 2000 and Oct 19th I-485 approved
I got ammended I-140 approved in around 2 weeks.
