Am I unrealistic?

Hello,

I have to leave my current company because the company is not able to support my H1-B and greencard (my labor cert. has been approved) due to the financial difficulty. My 7th-year H1-B will expire in Feb. 2007.

According to my lawyer, if my new employer files my new H1-B before Feb. 2007, it will be extendable another year. He also suggested me to ask new employer to file my greencard (PERM) during the first six months into the job, then I could do "Status Adjustment" instead of filing an H1-B for the second year.

I am sending my resume to many staffing agencies, but I have received so many negativie feedbacks from them. Am I unrealistic? Are there anybody in the similar situation and successfully moving to the next step?

Thank you.
