Am I still F-1 after file I-485???

Hi All:
   I just heard from some friends that once you file I-485, your F-1 will be invalid. Is that true?
   I\'m worried because I\'m using CPT to work as intern and if I\'ll start to use my OPT to continue my work in June, Is this still legal??
  ( we filed I-485 in Feb, and ND: 03/12 , got EAD, no FP yet )

I am not sure about the validity of the visa, but since you have your EAD you can can work wherever you want even 80 hours per week. Just file new I-9 with your employer.
