am I out of status?

I quit my old company on Jan 21st. (with pending LC more than 1yr).
My 6 years got over on Jan 31st'05.
A week later I quit my old company (ie., Jan 28) due to health reasons
My Old company received my 7th year extension which was applied in Oct 2004.

I applied a H1 transfer through another company. They delayed applying
for my H1 till first week of Apr. I got a query asking for the
latest paystubs.

Is the 7th year extension from the old company valid anymore
with respect to my stay here, since its till Jan'06?
meaning does it have any influence on my status?
