to keep a long story shorter:
5.11 -- company lawer filed 20k petition for me. (I thought the company had already rescinded the offer, and NOT knowing they were filing!!)
5.16 -- got the cc copy, contacted lawer immediately to cancel the h1b petition (coz I wanted to be on my OPT) and lawer emailed CIS for cancellation on the same day.
5.18 -- h1b approved. (checked online status)
5.23 -- lawer sent the withdraw letter again, and called VSC and got answer to say the case is revoked already. (but online still shows approval)
my OPT starts from 5/14/05. lawer said i am alright and back onto my OPT. my concern is that is this correct? am i on my valid OPT now.
