Hi,
I sent my EAD Renewal to TSC by mail (not efiling) and sent it by Fed Ex to
USCIS TSC,
4141n. St Augustine St,
Dallas, TX.

BUT ON THE TOP OF FED EX envelope, I didnot specify anything that it is meant for I-765 renewal.

IS MY FILE GOING TO BE MIS-PLACED?. Do I need to re-apply?. Any thoughts?.

Thanks in advance,

Did USCIS ask anywhere in I-765 instruction that you need to mention "renewal" on envelope? I applied for me and my wife's EAD renewal several time and never mentioned anything on the top of envelope.

P.S.
It's always better not to mention any sensitive infromation on the top of envelope. "EAD Renewal" is not a sensitive statement, but I won't be surprised if some bad guy get tempted to steal that for the purpose of ID theft (because probably you added your SS card, DL, passport copy in it). Yes, that happens for FedEx too. One of friend's colleague's passport lost when he FedEx-ed his passport to Washtington DC for H1 renewal. My another friend's passport was delivered to wrong office (at his next office building - different company and the receptionist put that envelope in trash thinking that the guy did not work with that company anymore).

Hi,
your reply gave me lot of confidence. Did u send by FedEx or Normal post. Because if u send my normal post, there is a seperate PO Box for EAD renewal but if we send by fedEx, all fedEx's goes to same address which is 4141 N.St Augstine, Dallas, TX.

Can u please reply,

Thanks in advance,

I FedEx-ed twice (one for EAD and one for AP). Everytime I just included the application forms and documents. That's it.

In future, you can write "EAD renewal" or "AP renewal" on an envelope, and insert that envelope inside FedEx standard envelope (so that it can be seen only after USCIS personnel opens the envelope). I never did that. I would not recommand anyone to write "EAD renewal" openly on FedEx envelope.

Hi Pralay Reply Solicited

My I-485 got transferred from TSC to Dallas District office on December 19,2003. For my first EAD renewal what address should I use? Please reply at your own convenience.

Use Dallas District Office, USCIS 8101 N Stemmons Frwy Dallas Address for the EAD renewal if your case has been transferred to local office in Dallas.

I've done that 3 times...they are pretty fast nowadays...you may get it within 2 months.

Thumb rule is that you should apply to office where your I-485 is pending. You will find that information in I-765 instruction. In your case, you should apply at Dallas.
