Am I eligible to apply for citizenship in 3 years?

I was married to an American citizen for 6 years. I got my Permanent Green Card as I was already married for more than 2 years when I received it. I got my GC 3-1/2 years ago and was recently divorced. Can I apply for citizenship now? as the requirment is only 3 years for GCs based on marriage to US Citizens(even though I am no longer married).
 
you unfortunately lose eligibility because of the divorce sorry. you have to be married to that USC for 3 yrs when you file your N-400

I was looking at the eligibility specs and I see that you are right. I did not see this before and here is an excerpt for somebody who might tread this path later:

Are currently married to and living with a US citizen
AND
Have been married to and living with that same USC for the past 3 years
AND
Your spouse has been a USC for the past three years.
