am i eligible for requesting for expedite processing?

I just want to ask you guys opinions. My I 485 has been pending since last aug. of 2002. my employer is an ethnic organiztion which provide cultureal and social service and is a non profit organization. and I see the following note in www. murthy.com bulletin section.

Do you think i can request INS expedite processing?

"nonprofit status of the requesting organization, where cultural and social interests of the United States would be furthered; and

compelling interest of the Service. " from www. murthy.com

I dont know what is in murty bulletin section but from ur words ie ur I-485 is pending from aug 2002 makes me think that ur rd date is aug 2002,if so then u should not bother abt expediting b'coz u have not yet completed an year from ur rd date (means receipt date of ur I-485 filing with INS/BCIS)
right now processing time is 19 months so only people who r approaching 2yrs of pending of I-485 can go for expedition.

note:I didnt go through murthy bulletin u suggested but as u filed in aug 2002 it is too early for such move

Why don't you consider talking to leading Immigration lawyer like Rajiv Khanna or Shiela Murthy? You may have to spend some money from your pocket but these lawyers may help you expediting your case.

I've gone through the bulletin u must have thought that u can go for expedition b'coz ur organisation is non profit but see u have to also satisfy other crucial points they specified.
u have not yet completed 1yr of I-485 & moreover u will not fall in any points that mentioned by BCIS for expedition ...........so be cool ,right now BCIS is processing cases of 2002 jan & feb so u have a lot of time to wait for an approval
