My PD will be current as of March 1,2006.My NC,DOB check and fingerprints has been cleared.Can you guys tell me how close am i to GC.

You should be pretty close!!!

if you are sure your Name check has come through and your PD becomes current beginning March I think you have a great chance to get your approval in the coming month. Good Luck.
 
VISA Availability

I'm in the same boat. All the dates are current and VSC says waiting for the VISA availability. Hoping to get the magic email in MAR 2006.

How did you find out your NC is cleared?
Is everybody, already sent for interview (preliminary process done), approved on NC?

USCIS case status 'Last update date' changed for my 485.. but the message is same

when i logged on to the website to see my latest 485 status.. the last updated date changed to 3/2/2006 but when i go to the detailed status page.. the message is still the same...the application was received on this date... blah blah...

my question is why did the 'Last update date' change but the status did not...can someone clarify...

This is my first posting ever in my 5 year pursuit of the greeeeen

How close am I?

Guys,
Here are my detail and I want to know how close I am.
I am using labour substitution.
I-140 approved 27-APR-2005.
I-140 approval notice shows priority date is 1-Jun-1999 (when original labor was approved).
EAD got on 6/21/05 (till that time worked on H1B).
I-485 notice date: 16-Dec-04 (for me and wife).
Now VSC is processing I-485 with notice date 15-Feb-05.
My lawyer placed an enquiry since current process date of VSC is more then 30 days over my notice date (as mention on website).
Also I applied for EAD renewal on 2/28/06. My check for EAD are gone from bank account but, not yet received EAD application notice.

So does anybody tell me how close I am based on experience and current trend?

We (me and wife) give our fp in Mar-05, how can I find out if my biometrics is clear. I saw some posting that some guys found out that if we are on FBI list or not.
Do I need to email or mail somebody about it?

I think you should get it in MAR (So am I). Around 3 months ago I called VSC to know my status and I was told that it is on Name and DOB hold ( I got scared) after that I put the enquiry using '30 day processing" rule and finally I got a letter from VSC in Feb that they are waiting for VISA availability. Since MAR Visa bulletin is processing my dates as well as yours, we should be getting it in MAR but only GOD or INS knows the truth.

Do I need to send email to senator or US congressman or state congressman or there is any other way to find it out.
