Alternate Wage

Hi ,

I was previously told that the company had requested for the an alternate wage with DOL but since its taking time they are hoping to re-discuss my "Green Card position". Presently as according to the strategy document :

Current Position: Application/System Team Lead

Green Card Position: Project Team Lead (Computer Information Systems Manager)

The "Green Card position" is at Dallas TX and the salary from DOL's database comes out to be 86k or round about and since my company is not willing to pay that much to me they want to re-discuss the "green card position" and probably change it.

Please let me know what all is important before I go on a meeting with my laywer and company officials and how to devise the strategy for this.( before the meeting happens )

Would going in with same position as my current position help since they are hoping to file in EB2 category with more than 5 yrs of experience.

I had a call tdy with the attorney ...what he said was that you have two options :

Go with EB2 as Sr Software Analyst rather than Project Lead ( with chances of audit )OR
Go with EB3 which has lesser chances of audit but will take longer time.

Can someone share similar expiriences and let me know which one would be the prefered option.
