It was about $10,000 for the whole shebang for my company. Too much, too little?

How much are you guys paying?

$0. But I lost 6 years of my life time in my company. I believe my company attorney charging $5000 my company for each GC application(Per family).

:)

I chose to retain my own lawyer instead of going with the company's lawyer who has no immigration experience. My lawyer fees were a flat fee of $3,000 which included all my LC filings (he also replied to the NOF at no extra cost), plus of course all the 140+485+EAD+AP paperwork and supporting documentation. All in all, I didn't think that it was much to pay for retaining an experienced lawyer of my choice, considering all of the work ended up doing for me. And he worked for me, responded to me, and not the company.

My lawyer asked $100 to file the AC21 letter. This is what he said:

"It is a simple statement to be signed by reporting manager, no need to even go to HR. Even you can file it if you want, letter should state new position title, brief description and annual salary"

Again, please check with other respondents to get different views.

Thanks for all replies. My company hired an ooutside law firm to take care of the case. I guess we should have shopped around a little longer.

Between price and lawyer's experience, price should not be an issue if you can find a very good lawyer. The lawyer will have to be available for around five years in your course of seeking permanent residence. On my experience on hiring lawyers, I ended up seeking another lawyer which made my expense higher ...I think the total expense ranges from 7- 12 K depending on number of dependents for the whole process.
