Greetings and salutations.
Back in Dec, my future wife has applied for the K-1 visa that will eventually allow me to go down and marry her.
We were a bit disheartened about the processing times last night. I know these will be a make-or-break point in our relationship, but I require people's experience and advice on the matter.
Being from Canada, and having lived in Ottawa for several years, I fully know the kind of hardship that bureaucrats and bureaucracy can deliver, be it from their general smugness to the downright inhumane aspects of certain decisions.
However, this helps little in the matters of the heart. So I ask all of you, especially those who are successful and that are perhaps Canadian, much as myself, What advice can you give me in order to give hope to my significant other, thru her hardships, and the fact that she longs to just be able to wake up next to me (much as I do).
I know this is quite emotionally charged, but what can I say, when she hurts, I hurt.
So, That being said, I also wish to know about what other advice can you give me in order to speed things up OTHER than resort to something that could land me in a ridiculous amount of trouble. I prepared to fight tooth and nail for this, But I wish to do this legally.
Thank you for your time.
