Hi,

I had filed I-730 {Derivative Asylee petition} for my son. He has now received appointment notice for Bio3. The same notice does contain 'A' number for him.

Does it mean his case being processed & he has been found eligible for derivative status?

I will appreciate any comments please.

I-730

When they start to process they issue "A" number.Once your relative will be approved he/she will be using the same "A" number.

Please be aware to issue "A" does not make warranty to get approval.

But since you are eligible and you provided all of the requested documents there is no reason to deny either.

Regards.

Freedom1963,

Thanks for ur comments. Don't u think issue of Bio appointment as signal for his eligibility for approval?

Thanks again.

hey calm down and relax. This does not mean anything beyond the fact that they are processing the case under normal processing procedures. Everyone who applies will get a Bio appointment.

Just relax and wait for a decision by them.

Dear Comcast,

U know why I am excited because we received this Bio appointment letter after 2 years of calm & relaxing . The current processting time for I-730 is 9 months, whereas in our case it took more than double of the time. What infact I am trying to understand whether the issuance of Bio appointment is the start of processing or tail of the process. Why we are curious because my son's potential employer wants to know the apporximate time when he will be eligible for job. In case it is the start of the process than we have at least a year more to relax.

Second part of my question. With issuance of Bio appointment notice, Can I presume that my son has been found eligible for derivative asylum status or it is still premature to conclude?

Thanks

It is premature. I do not think they even look at the files closely until the results of the Bio check are available.

Dear Comcast,

Thanks for comments. I have seen 3 LUD changes in couple of days. Does that make a sense to u? Bio is not done yet. Can we change the scheduled bio appointment to an early date? Will it help?

Thanks
