My wife was having an EAD when she was on J2 visa in year 2002 (currently she's on H4) and on the EAD card she had an Alien #. I am going to file form I-485 on June 1, 2006 (since my PD has become current). The form has a column where we have to write A# (if any). So my question is should I write the A# from the EAD card on her application form or leave it blank. Is she going to have the same A# when she gets her I-485 receipt?
And also, when I file form I-765 (for EAD) should I write that it's a renewal of the EAD card (which expired in year 2002) or should I select Permission to accept employment in options list in the form.
