Alien Number inconsistency

There seems to be some inconsistency in my alien number. Please let me know if this will cause an issue with USCIS.

In my biometrics code 3 notice, EAD card,and I-140 approval notice,the alien number is.A098******.

However, in my AOS receipt notice and AP the alien number is A98******. The 'Zero' is missing after the A in the alien number for these two documents.


Any ideas Gurus ? Is it the same way for eveyone in CSC ? Please let me know.

You should be ok. I just checked my reciept notices for AP, EAD, 485 and none of them have the preceding zero.

Also the 140 approval notice does not have the preceding zero in the A #.

I don't have a copy of my old EAD buy I just checked that my physical green card and it DOES have the preceding zero in the A #.

I understand your concern but don't fret too much about it - 0100 is the same as 100 :)

I think one of our desi smart friend must have used LPAD function in the green card printing program. Other programs must have written by someone else and they have not used this function.....

But, when I checked my EAD card and physical GC, both of them have the leading zero. Not sure about the others notices....I didn't check them yet.
 
don't worry, willgetgc2005. i think uscis sometimes drops the zero. all of our printed receipt notices seems to have the 0 after the "A" - but I've noticed that whenever an immigration officer or customer officers writes my husband's A number out by hand - they don't include the zero after the A.
