As everyone will agree, when it comes to this issue, the AILA should be on the top for the breath-taking events within the government. For the obvious reasons, AILA has remained silent apparently not to affect the negotiation process and the behind the door activities to pressure on the agencies. However, considering the ongoing rumors which have been going out of control, it has just broken its silence at about 5:30 p.m. EST, with a statement that the situation is extremely fluid and they will report the outcome of the ongoing events to the members on the Infonet when time comes.

UPDATE AT 3:15 PM EST TUESDAY: The latest update we received is the annoucement to be made soon will be as follows:

DHS will be rescinding its July 2 update and the initial July Visa Bulletin will take effect for 31 days – i.e., all employment-based green card categories (except for the “Other Workers” category) will be “current” and CIS will accept applications through August 17.

DHS will issue a press release to this effect later today.
