AILA Response

Hi All:

How long does it take to hear from AILA. My application was submitted on July'05 and audited on and submitted all papers end of July since than we are waiting to hear from Chicago processing center.

Month before last month I had my Attorney contact AILA (she is a member of AILA) and we are still waiting for the status. Could someone tell me how to does it take to get response from AILA? I would really appreciate your response.

AILA Liason

In one of its PERM-related Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQ”) published on its website, the DOL clearly states that “questions regarding audit criteria will not be addressed.” Cloaking audit identifiers in secrecy, according to the DOL, will help to uphold the underlying purpose of the audits and to maintain the integrity of the PERM program. Therefore AILA liason holds no value when communicating with DOL regarding an audit. Audits are a fact of life with PERM applications, and that is not going to change – period.

I have seen no progress in my case whatsoever after 197 days. My attorney and AILA have no clue as to when my case will get approved.
