After the approval of my wife's GC, can she get college loan from the Gov right away?

After the approval of my wife's green card, can she apply for college loan from the government right away? Or is there a form that she could fill out to allow her to take government loans right after the approval of GC?

the short answer is yes all gc holders are eligible to government issued student loans.

my concern is that if you do it right away on that day you may get the application kicked back saying she is not an LPR due to the fact that their computer systems don't yet have the current info.

never hurts to try anyway.
