after RFE, my case is approved...

here is the case:
case #: wac-01-160-xxxxx; eb2
pd: 11/99
i-485 nd:4/17/2001
ap: 7/2001
finger print: 9/18/2001
rfe request; 11/9/2001 for 4 paystubs
rfe rvd at ins: 12/2001
avm update on rfe: 1/9/2002
approval: 1/15/2002

my wife case was approved at the same time. the difference between the time i sent rfe and the approval on the case is 6-8 weeks, and this is what my lawyer told me to wait for.

you recd an rfe - was this because at I-485 the lawyer did not file the paystubs ?

i really don\'t remember the paystubs submission at the time as i did what exactly lawyer told me. so he could have it left off the list.

by the way, i did not receive rfe directly from ins, but my lawyer did. only when he contacted me on it did i learn the rfe and check ins avm system. avm menioned rfe request sent out 3 weeks ago to me.

i was kinda worried about it but my lawyer assured me that within 6-8 weeks after we submit rfe response, my case would be approved.

you might have different situation as mine, but at this stage, be patient.
