After receiving GC ?

I wld really appreciate if someone can tell me do we need to go to Social Security office after we receive our GC?

Atleast you didn't ask "what do i do with the green card?"

Tell them you got your GC and you want to apply for new card. They'll look at your passort/Green Card and will mail you a new card in 10 days..

If you already have a SS No. DO NOT do anything. However if your spouse didn't have then you may apply for him her

Thanx a lot for the response. My fiance got GC last year, we didnot know if we had to go to Social Security office to get the card changed as the card right now says Work with authorization.
