after passing interview

So I passed the interview and got the visa in my passport and the brown packet. So my question is what next? I will fly into the US, and once I reach customs I just give them the passport and brown packet right? Then do the customs people just let me through, do i get my green card....etc. anybody with this experience would be greatly appreciated. Also in the interview I had to sign a selective service notification, and it says within 30 days of entering the US I have to register or something? Anyone knows how this is done? Anything else I should know? Because curiously the packet's only instructions is to bring chest x-rays and not how to proceed and/or when to receive the green card. Thanks a lot!

You will turn in the brown package and they should stamp your passport. The selective service is only for those under 27. The green card will arrive at your address they have on file. Correct it if you have changed it ( and you have to change it anytime you move ) It may come in a few weeks or after a couple of months.

Selective service is the way the military can call young men the serve in a war. All male residents are required to sign up for it. If you don't you can be refused citizenship when you apply. The last time the actually drafted people to serve in the military was in the 1970's so you shouldn't worry about having to actually serve. If you want to enter the military on your own you get citizenship quicker.
