After Interview security checks: What to do?

Our GC interview was done on first week of Nov'04. The IIO didn't ask for any document except passports. And when the interview was over, I was told by IIO that some security checks are left and they can take upto 1 week to 1 month or if there is a fluke, it can take much longer.

I started my 485 in Feb'2002, filed in texas. My case was xfered to boston in April'2004 and now after, almost 3 years I am still in the same shoes. Don't know what will happen next, and worse, when will it happen.

Do you guys suggest any step from my side proactively trying to help my case approve faster?

I know, many of you are in the same situation and have gone through the same situation. Please share your experience, it will give more strength.

Thanks a lot and appreciate your response.

I would think if he said one month, wait for one complete month, it should not be a big deal if you waited for almost 3 years. I don't know if you have taken the phone number of that officer, I read in the forum somewhere that they took officer's phone number and called him/her after the mentioned time, that way they were able to get their case approved.

I would suggest if you don't listen anything in 6 weeks, take an appointment and go meet that officer again.

Thanks

Thanks Prem for the reply.

Well, month is not a big deal but you know, all these months add up. So many things are dependent on GC. I have file for mine and my wife's EAD/AP. Then again go in loop for waiting EAD/AP. I have already gone through 3 EADs/APs. And another one is too much.

I prepared so many documents for interview, I spent $2000 + break from relatives-wedding just for interview, and I was interviewed for only 10 mintues. Moreover USCIS was not even prepared for interviewing us, why they didn't let us know!!

But yeah, thanks for the advise. I will wait for six weeks and meet them.
