4/24 interview, officer said the name check hasn't clear. Almost 60 days, hasn't received GC, how long should wait for name check? Please advice.

I haven't heard of any exact time period it takes to get your name check after the interview. If nothing happened after 90 days, you probably want to set up an infopass appointment and try to find out what is going on. Sometimes, this may get things moving. If not, you may have to start getting in touch with your Senator, Congress people etc. Hopefully, you will hear from USCIS soon. I have been waiting over a month too though I was verbally approved at the interview and didn't have any name check issues. Oh well!

lilygre,

Welcome to the club. I don't want to scare you or say that your particular namecheck situation is the same as ours, certainly every one is different. That said...My wife (AOS applicant) and I (USC) have been waiting for our namecheck to clear for nearly a year. Her maiden name happens to be the same as an infamous Caribbean dictator so I suspect it received some hits. I have contacted both my US Senators and my congressional representative who have all said effectively the same thing..."We can't do anything but inquire, and we will receive the same answer you did." They were kind enough to inquire officially and they did receive the same answers we did. I continue to hammer them my inquiries every 90 days.

Good luck,
Lardbird

PS I have heard of many cases taking more than 18 months to clear namecheck and one as long as 3 years. I have heard of only a few that clear in less than 2 months.
