After I get the 10 years green card

After I get the 10 years GC, and want to go out of US, for how long I can stay out of the country (US)?

The GC is for you to LIVE permanently in the USA.

You are subject to spending more time in the USA than in any other country. You must maintain residency in the USA and can not take up a job or studies in another country.

If you leave for 6+ months, you probably broke continuous residency for naturalization.
If you leave for 1+ year, without a re-entry permit, you lose your resident status and GC.
If you leave for 2+ years, you lost your status.

That is not true. If you spend a given number of months overseas, studying at a foreign educational institution doesn't put you in a worse position than if you were simply idling or touring during those months.

Overseas employment with a non-US employer can make things worse, but by itself it is not grounds for denying citizenship or taking away the green card.

Has anyone looked into the "Welcome to America" at the USCIS? I wonder if it would have definitive answers to this question.
