After how many months first FP will expires?

Any one knows after how many months first FP will expire? Is it 12 months or 18 months? Does the count starts after BCIS received out FP's?

15 months from when INS receives your FP.

When usually people get another FP letter

Once FP is expired do we receive next FP letter before it got expire or after it got expire.
My FP would expire in Jan 31 2004.
I would in India untill 15th Jan 2004. So if they mail FP renewal letter early noone owuld be around.
So wondering when they send letter.

Normally after expiry

Returning on Jan 15 would not be a problem.
