After Green Card question

Hi,

I have a question and I hope someone can help me with it.

I got my green card through my employer ( Employment-Based GC) in 2019. I know I have to wait 5 years till I apply for naturalization. In 2020, I got married to my girlfriend ( U.S citizen ), so my questions are :

1- Do I have to fill a form or report my marriage to USCIS?

2-Do I still need to wait 5 years to apply for citizenship or marriage will drop it down automatically to 3 years?

3- If it drops down to 3 years due marriage, do they start counting these 3 years from the day I got married or they count starting from the day I received my employment-based GC?

Thanks in advance,

1. No, you do not need to report your marriage
2. Both 5-year and 3-year rules are available to you. Which one is faster depends on your circumstances
3. You are eligible for the 3-year rule if you have been a permanent resident for 3 years (can apply 90 days before meeting this), you have been married to the same person for 3 years, and your spouse has been a US citizen for 3 years. So if you already had a green card before you got married, and your spouse was already a US citizen when you got married, then the limiting factor is your marriage, so it would be 3 years after the day you got married.
