After green card, anything needed for travel?

Hello,
I think I know the answer, but just wanted to check with everyone here also. After getting the Permanent Resident card, I don't need anything else (besides a passport) to travel outside the US and be able to reenter right? No visa, nothing?

Please confirm, I am looking to travel soon. Thanks!
 
Correct - Passport and GC only for any trip less than 6 months. For longer trips you may need a re-entry permit. Search other threads for more detail on permit.
 
You only need the passport to re-enter the US if you are traveling from outside the western hemisphere. Any travel within the western hemisphere requires only that you display your GC upon re-entry.
