After GC

Guys,
Hope all are doing great. I got my passport stamped 2 weeks ago. My 485 was approved last month.

Mine is a Future Employment (Labour Substitution case). Are we legally obligated to work for my future employwer after getting GC. I joined the new company 2 months ago.

How long are we supposed to work for the new employer fater GC.

Congratulations on your approval.

when did you file your 485? If your 485 was pending for more than 180 days and you changed your job before your 485 was approved, you are fine because you are covered by AC21 law. If your 485 was pending for less than 180 days and you changed your job before your 485 was approved, you are required to work for sponsoring employer.

Note: AC-21 law is not very clear. just wait for answers from other people in this forum.

Practically you've already invoked AC 21, though you didn't inform CIS two months ago. Now you don't have to inform them as you are approved.
