After GC: Work for Sponsoring Employer or Not

Hello Luck Guys and Gals!

I am hoping after a plethora of GC approvals there would be more folks visiting this section of the forum.

One of the bigger questions in many of our minds is if you have changed employer, not filed AC21 and GC approved, what is the advisable thing to do. I thought will start a new thread to welcome discussions, suggestions and experiences on this.

My situation is my GC approved and did not file AC21. I still do have excellent relations with my GC sponsor and they are indifferent. They are fine if come join them or not. I am in an excellent full time position right now, may or may not be exactly in same or similar occupation though. Labor for Programmer Analyst and now a IT Program Manager and I am feeling tempted to stay on with my current employer.

I do not absolutely want any issues with naturalization. Any experiences and advises? My lawyer says it is very rare that will come up during naturalization but the right thing to do is go work for GC sponsor for a while.

I did read that and it only covers "how long" does one should work for sponsoring employer and does not go into details of "What if you dont at all"

Thanks for the link though. Appreciate your contribution to this thread.
