After GC stamp online status change to still processing

I had GC stamp in Feb 2004. Now the online status says

"On April , 2004, your I485 Application to Register P... was received here for processing. It is taking between 365 and 540 ...... mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete."

What this mean, I dont received any welcome letter and this is through employment.

Thanks.

Hi:
I am responding to my own question.

I called BCIS today. It was nice talking to a lady. She said all she can do is to send inquiry for me. There is no inqury no. all I have is her name and her agent no.

Plus keep every thing on hand. She ask for my A#, RD, Address, phone no, old address(I moved to new place), …
She said wait for 4weeks for them to respond. They are going to mail me duplicate approval. (hopefully :) )

Other than that she don’t have any information for me.

I hope this will help.
Thanks.

Don't worry too much. Same thing happened to me. About 1 month after the passport stamping my online status changed back from "approved" to "case transferred to VT..." which was the status of the case prior to the approval. About 40-45 days later, that changed to "card ordered", then a few days later to "card mailed", and a few days later, I got the plastic card. The online case status is far away from being error-free. The bottom line is - you have a I-551 stamp, you are a permanent resident.

Thanks Anajoti:

That really help. Actually i want to visit my home-country and thinking what will happen on a way back.
I am thinking to wait for plastic card.

Plus what was your date of stamp and the date for card received.

Thanks in advance.

It really shouldn't make much difference whether you have a plastic card or a passport stamp. There is always a chance you'll go thru secondary inspection, especially on your first trip outside of the US since becoming a permanent resident. But, from what I heard it's not that big of a deal.

My stamp date was 3/18, and I got my card on 6/3.
