After FP2 and RFE, what are we waiting for?

I am trying to figure out what are NSC is doing after the FP2 is cleared and RFE replied. Any speculations please?
The first thing jumped into my mind was the name check, it can take a long time. As has been discussed in thread: US Citizensip/my name check experience, the name check is done only once during the I 485 stage. So if you don't know the status of your name check, calling FBI to speed it up may be a reasonable choice.
Your file itself. Before they send you a RFE, your file should be already reviewed, and RFE is supposed to be the only missing info. Once you replied to it, it should be complete.
What else are there? !!!

ND 10/2002, name check cleared: 9/2003, FP2 8/19/2004, RFE received 10/19/2004, LUD change:Oct 19,20,21,22. AD??!!

You should not ask any logical questions if your case is with NSC.

Atleast your company pays for it. There are lots of guys (I am one among the unfortunate) that pays out of their pocket. Imagine doing it for myself, my wife and my daughter (thank God I don't have an EAD for her!)

Case

I was getting anxious so today I finally contacted my senator to see what's going on with my file?
A US congressman from IL called USCIS and they told him that they will probably send me another RFE and they did not say what it is going to be?

Forum helps me stay calm but I am quite frustrated with USCIS. They lost my AP and now I can't travel.

You guys mentioned call FBI to speed up the name check. Any phone number available? How do I find out when and whether my name check is done?
