after FP

Hi,

After fingerprinting is done, is there a number where someone can call to see that the results were ok ? or is it the same customer service 1-800 number where we can know all of our queries. ?

Previously there was a FBI number where one could call up and know the status of fingerprinting. Does that number exist any more ?

Can't you wait?

Can't you wait for 3-4 days??? Once this is done your online status changes...

Anyway, you have to wait for another one year to get it approved!!!!

My first FP was updated after 2 months on the web site. This is my second FP. So, I do not have much faith on the INS online site. I had indeed called up some number in FBI which verified that the FP went fine.

I am on the WAC02105.. series. So I guess, I am not short of patience ;-)

do not worry........
my 2nd fp was on 6th jan and my online status changed yesterday evening.. i was indeed very happy to see a date change after almost 2 yrs..at least something..


now i have to wait another year for the approval

Mine too!!!

I did my FP on 2nd Jan 2004 and and they updated it online on 07 Jan 2004. I am also wac-02-106 Waiting like you!!!

My first FP was updated after 2 months on the web site. This is my second FP. So, I do not have much faith on the INS online site. I had indeed called up some number in FBI which verified that the FP went fine.

Can you give us the number in FBI to check the FP result? We did our 2nd on 11/25/03, but the online message still not updated. We really worry about it and want to check it out. So please help.

I am sorry I do not have that number any more. I never thought I would require a second FP and had deleted the mail from my mailbox long time ago (2 years ago) ;-( That is also the same reason why I asked the same question on the forum.

an April/2002 message with this number:

Don't know if it is still valid. I tried but it's closed for the day.

The FBI phone number to dial is (304) 625-5590 (press option 4 when connected).

Have the following information ready before you dial:

service center;
purpose of FP (for us, it's I-485 for permanent residents);
name;
A number;
date FP was taken.
