After case status inquiry...

I did the FP on 10/05/2004, on 10/18 case status changed to "FP received and processing resumed". Since then status didn't change, but several friends who have same ND and did FP at almost same date as mine got approved on Dec 2004. I called USCIS 1-800 to initiate case inquiry on 01/07/2005, on 01/19/2005 online status changed to "we responded to your request for more information concerning your case." I wonder why my case is still pending while friends' got approved? Does anyone guess what happened and has similar experience?

I am in the same boat, did FP in Oct 20 2004, friends that did FP in Nov all get their FP, just wondering whether I am falling into the unfortunate pile again... Send inquiry in 10 December, never get any response, so 30 days later send again in 11th Jan, still haven't heard anything yet... not message change... guess just have to wait...

I am also in the same boat. Did FP on 12/04/04. Inquired case status check on 01/13/05, after my ND crossed the official processing date . After that the message changed into "we responded to your request for more information concerning your case....................." Still waiting................

I also did FP Nov 20th ,RD 5/3/02 waiting for approval ,my lawyer did case status enquiry 1/10/05 for me and my spouse , still no change in LUD or online change ,hope they havent lost our files or maybe its name check but after all these years of waiting shouldnt they have gotten that sorted out already we have no Fbi records, just law abiding ,heavily taxed citizens waiting to get our green cards approved.

Well they haven't yet formulated a single terrorist watch list. As per abcnews, they still have about 8 different lists...between 12 different federal agencies. After 9/11, any average american would have considered it as their top priority... Anyway, the bottom line is you have to be more lucky than anything else to get approved in time..

If our cases are pending for name check, should we get a REF letter from TSC? One friend just get the REF letter requiring the medical exam and name check. Thanks.
 
I did my FP in Oct 20 2004, LUD changed first time Oct.26, then again Nov. 1st, then.... I am still waiting.

Currently the message reads:
"On October 29, 2004, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made."

Don't know whether it means my name check is complete or not.
