Hi,

We received the card, wondering whether we should get stamping, SSN changed, etc.,?

For stamping, we just get infopass appointment? What else we need to take care of?/

Any comments, information wouldbe helpful.

Thanks in advance,
Shanku

You don't need to do anything. Passport stamping is only if you have not received the card and you need to leave the country. Your SSN's do not need to change either.

You actually want to get the restriction off your SSN. You want them to remove the "work with USCIS authorizattion only". Take your GC and go to SS Admin office and fill out a new application and tell them you want the restriction removed. They will look you up in the system to see if your record shows you are a Green Card holder. You will get a new card with the same number with no restiction printed on it. It takes about 4-6 weeks to get the new card. Your card will look just like a citizens.

And no you don't need stamping. Thats just a stamp to prove you are a Green Card Holder until you receive the card.
