After assigned to an adjudicator, how much time for approval

My 485 application has been assigned to an adjudicator about a week ago. How much time do they take after that for approval ? (Average times).

It's more than 2 years since i applied for 485. So, i took the help of congressman to find the status and he found that it got assigned to an officer recently with name check and FP complete. Any idea how much time it usually takes from here ?

I have heard from many folks that talking to a Congressman would help in some way or the other,

couple of Q's

1) Which congressman in particular must we contact
2) is the congressman local to a state where we reside or.... pls indicate
3) Any particular numbers we can get for contacting these people.

I am 23 months old for 485 application and waiting for an approval, second FP 11/27/2004.

Help pls.

I remember reading that it usually doesn't take more than 6 weeks after it's sent to an adjudicator.
