I had a WOM thread earlier, but wanted to ask this community a question... But first, got the card in mail yesterday, 8 days after CRIS email it was ordered... ... Also, Form I 797 arrived a day earlier.. So it does not take very long after the email to receivie it...
Gurus, what is I-797 form is for? While traveling, is the card itself enough?
Should I- 797 be kept at home? I know in the past, it would take the green card up to 6 months to arrive in the mail... So people would use I- 797 to get stamp in the passport before they would get a phisycal card... Is stamping recommended nowdays? Many thanks.
