you dont have to submit any thing .

Companys are suppose to maintain the i-9 forms. for big companies there will be a seperate i-9 record center.

http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-9.htm

No filing with the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is required. The form must be kept by the employer either for three years after the date of hire or for one year after employment is terminated, whichever is later. The form must be available for inspection by the authorized U.S. Government officials (i.e., ICE, Department of Labor).

For later if INS ask for experience letter or employment clarification letter from you to clarify whether you are employed or not with this company. In that case get a experience letter stating that you were employed or not with this company.
