Guys,

1.How long does it take to get the actual notice following the online approval?

2.Can we schedule the Infopass appointment for PP stamping before we get the notice?

Normally about a week.. should not be more then 15 days...

Yes take app. ASAP... because you only get appt. 15 days after, and if you do not get approval notice in next 10 days.. cancel current appt and get another...

This is the first time I hear about the infopass! how to access the infopass? and what is the other usage of it?
Thanks in advance

You don`t have to wait for notice to go for stamping just take a print out copy with you to the center and your passport will be stamped.

infopass is the system that makes your appointment to go and get your passport stamped. It is an online service and you can find a link to in on: www.uscis.gov.
Once you get you approval email, you can go there, and schedule your appointment. You do need to print it out because you will be asked to show it. 2 things to remember:
1. You need to wait 40 minutes between appointments you are scheduling because their system remembers your IP address. You can do it from 2 different systems at the same time, and get 2 appointments scheduled at the same time or use 2 different browsers.
2. If the systems gives you a meesage in the nature of: "you cannot schedule appointment at this time, please try later" you simply need to try later, it is busy during the day, and better during evening time.
I am not aware of any other use at this point.

Good luck,

....you HAVE to take your notice with you when you go stamping. They will not accept anything but original or courtesy copy. If they do, it's either new or an exception of any kind that I am not aware of. I surely didn't read anywhere in this forum that one can do it.

Walk-Ins are not welcomed at all. There's no pain in taking infopass appointment go to the link gvaknin has mentioned and take appointment. Yes you can take appointment as soon as you see your online approval. U'll rcv the approval letter with in 10 days but taking appointment cuts down the wait time.
If you show up there without infopass appointment letter thats ok too as long as you have 797 with you because your name is on their list of appointments.

HTH.

I'm a little confused with your reply, can anybody please try to help me. Thanks.

If the infopass system remembers IP address, then how would:
a) using two browsers help or
b) two computers help (considering that all the home computers that we have share the same IP address).

From my limited understanding, none of the above solutions would provide a different IP address.

Any help is appreciated.
