Affidavit of Support: Real Estate

Hello:

Does anyone know exactly how to evaluate the value of real estate for the Affidavit of Support. Is the value of the property evaluated by a bank officer?? My in-laws will be filing the Affidavit of Support and I need to tell them how to put the value of real-estate in the same.
