Affidavit of Support question

I am petitioning for my husband and am in the process of filling out the Affidavit of support. To sponsor my husband by myself, I have to have an income of 125% above the poverty level. I have known my husband since March of 2010. We got married in Ocotober 2011. My gross income on my 2011 does meet the required 125%. For 2010 & 2009 they do not. If I submit this information will I be ok given the fact that I was not even with my husband in 2009 or 2010? (I was married to someone else during those years & have 2 children, 1 born in 2007 and the other 2009). Should I have a second person sponsor him as well? What should I do? :confused:
 
Your income for the latest year is what really matters. You'll be OK if your income is still above the required amount.

Note that the requirement is 125% of the poverty line, not 125% above the poverty line.

So that's really just 25% above the poverty line.
