Affidavit of Support - Proof of Employment Question

I am a US Citizen sponsoring my spouse who is currently on an H1.
I own a consulting business - incorporated, good business standing etc

The Affidavit of support requires the following as evidence of current employment:
Statement from the employer
Date of employment
Type of work performed
Salary and wages
Recent Pay Statement

As a business owner, do I provide the above myself?
Statement from the employer - Should this be a letter from me?
Recent pay statement - I use my firm's bank account and manage receivables, expenses (bills), and draw what ever I need (NO MONTHLY FIXED PAYMENT) and hence no pay statement. But I can show cash flow, savings (profit) etc.

Has anyone been in this position and sponsored a family based green card for a spouse? If yes, can you share your experience?

I didn't think Proof of Employment was required for the Affidavit*, I believe you are only *required* to submit your 2005 Tax return for the current version of the I-864. Assuming that tax return is over the poverty limit you should be fine, if it is not then you will have to produce more documentation proving your income is currently higher than the poverty line, or get a co-sponsor.

*Based on my memory and experience, I didn't send in employment proof and recieved no RFE for it.

Wulfin - they're just looking for income and employment history sufficient to prove your ability to support the sponsored immigrant. I'm no expert, but if you include your 2005 tax forms and a letter stating your business, number of years, annual income, etc., that would be plenty to fulfill all the requirements. If you have some kind of bank statement for your business or business license, that kind of thing, you could include that just to cover your bases.
