Affidavit of Support of I485 RFE

Part of my I485 asked for "affidavit of support for my family", anybody has experience answering this FRE, particularly:

1) Do I need to file form I-134, or a simple letter stating my support for the family is enough?

2) Is the I-134 what I need to file, or I have to file some other forms?

You will need to file the I-134 "affadavit of support" form with all the information requested in the instructions.

I had the same RFE for my wife in February 05 and she was approved about a week after they received the form and all the documents required. The thing that took the longest to obtain was the letter from my bank about my checking account and the average balance, total deposits etc.
