Affidavit of Support I-864

I am USC filed I-130 for my spouse and my child. My wife and child are in Saudi Arabia has to send their papers which are required to the Riyadh embassy (like DS-230, police clearance,...etc) to acquire their immigraion visa, and included the affidavit of Support which is form I-864. Please advice if that form is mandatory or not where I am a student in USA right now and don't have income. If so please let me know the procedure.

The third word in the OPs post states that he is a US citizen.

NARX....due to being a student and not being able to meet the income requirements then you will either need to:
a) Show that you can meet the specified amount in assets (the amount is a lot higher than the specified income levels).

or

b) Get a joint sponsor who is able to use their income to help you reach the required level.

For most people in your situation, b is the most common route.
 
Sponsor needs to be either a US citizen or permanent resident.........Im not too sure about the 'physical residence' requirements though.
