affidavit of support- green card thr. marriage

hi all, since I m a student and i work part time job so I can't sponsor my husband, can a retired veteran be his co-sponsor?

this person is amreican citizen, single and makes good living, but the thing is he doesnt have a w-2 since the government pays him checks tax free and he doesnt have to pay or file tax because he was in the military!

so my question is, can he co-sponsor my husband even though he doesnt have w-2? if yes, what documents he will be asked to bring?

He can use that income for the affidavit of support. He just needs to provide documentation of it (the relevant pension documents).
