Affidavit of Support for dependant's I-485??

Hello Friends here..

My I-485 has been pending with VSC with an RD of 04/2002. I am looking forward to file he I-485 for my spouse by March 1st, as my PD would be current by then. My company lawyer has not been very co-operative with doing things in a timely fashion. Would apreciate if any of the gurus can help me with the following Qs

1. What are the documentation I need other than Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate ?

2. Do I need to file an affidavit of support ? Did not see any mention of it in I-485 form, but saw some refrences to it in this forum. If so which form do I need to file ? I-864 or I-864A or I-134??

If she is already in the US you also need to provide proof that she maintained lawful status - copies of IAP66, h1b approval notices etc. medical exam, photos etc. Basically all the documents you needed for your I485 with the exception of the employment related docs.

In addition you will need at least the I134 affadivit of support which has to be wittnessed by a notary.

There may be other documents as well. That's all I can remember from when we filed my wifes paperwork. Get your company lawyer to provide a checklist of forms if you can....
