Affidavit of Support & Application for immigrant visa / permanent address

Hello each & everyone,

I am a European Union citizen, I live in Europe. I have had applied for an EB1A (extraordinary ability in arts) from overseas (Europe) back in May 2012. My petition Approved in July this year. Just after that I was asked to send the fees for each member of the family that would follow me in the US, to fill an affidavit of support and the application for immigrant visa and alien registration. Initially on the approved EB1a petition (I-140) I also marked "yes" for issuing visa for my kids and wife. But my kids will follow me at a later time (at school now) and my wife will finally stay behind for the time being (taking care of our local business). Therefore I sent the fee payment ($405) only for myself as the main petitioner and beneficiary, now the questions that arise are the following:

1.Was it right the above action? I mean do I have the flexibility and the right to apply for visa only for myself now? Can I send the rest of the fees, applications, documents, etc ( for the kids and/or wife) at a later time before the time limit of a year got expired? Would they provide just me with visa (if approved) at this point?

2. Do I need as EB1A (EA) priority worker an affidavit for myself?

3. Could I not send an affidavit of support for my family now? Can I send it at a later time when I'll be starting to apply for my kids? Since I live in EU what should the affidavit contain? Salary or any income that supports me here in Europe?

4. What if family would not immigrate with me, is that acceptable by the NVC?

5. I got one more issue that would I appreciate a wise guidance on that as well:

On the "application for immigrant visa and alien registration" box number 10th asks for a Permanent address in the US. As I mentioned above, I applied for I-140 from overseas since I live here in European Union. How should I treat this question, how to apply the correct answer??

I would deeply appreciate your help on the above inquiries.
Thank you all so much in advance!
