advisory opinion...how to check result online

I'm under J1 (au pair program), which I beleive that I'm not subject for 2 years HRR although it said in my passport that I am. I sent a request to have advisory opinion on Feb 24. Through this forum, I see some people mentioned that they can check the status online. Can anyone tell me how to do that? I call DOS yesterday and they said that they haven't had any info about my request. When should I expect to get the case number so that I can check the status online? Do they mail that out for us?
 
Hello.. have you figured out if you are subject to 2hhr yet?

I participated work & travel.. and my DS-2019 and visa annoation regarding 2hrr is different. I am very confused..

Did you figure out how to find out the advirosy opinion online???

Isn't it the online check status for waiver?
Can you also check advisory opinion?

yes, it's the same website as the waiver. Your case number will start with 8. Call DOS and once u get the case number, u can check online. My case said "pending". It also said that everything (that I sent on Feb 24) is received on March 22.
