Hi All,

Need your opinion about the following....

I would be eligible to apply for citizenship next year....I have certainly met
the physical residency requirement...now, my company is asking me if I
would go work in India for an year to year and half...

Would I still be eligible to apply for citizenship next year, if I take up on
this offer? I would still be employed by the same company I was working for
all these years....also, I plan to come back every 5 months to meet the
continuous residency requirement...also, would it help if I keep my
apartment?

Any helpful advise would be highly appreciated....

Thanks much for your reply...but, I just am wondering if I can still apply for citizenship next year...instead of applying for N-470....

since you said you would be coming back for every 5 months, you just have to make sure you come back and have all bills still sending to your current home address. yes, keeping an apartment / bank acct / utilities bill would be good. may be you should sublease your apt to someone else, but still under your name.
