I have opted for CP in Montreal for myself and my spouse. Issue is my spouse have to be in India for a year or so due to family circumstances. She have to leave by end of this month and we are expecting the interview in Feb of next year.
She can come here for the interview in Feb, but since she will be staying outside US for longer duration what options do I have.
I talked to my attorney and they told me that I can file i-824 now ( before interview in Montreal) and change the consulate from montreal to india and get the processing done in india for her. Was anybody in this kind of situation or heard about this. Any input how this will work out.
