I'm in the dillema right now... if anyone can give me advise, I would really appreciate it.
Currenty I have bachelor degree, and I can have my master degree done by December'07. My company is willing and urging me to do the green card application.
My boss just talked to me about few days ago about the new bill on July'07, which clear up all the waiting list on the EB3, so there's no advantage on EB2 over EB3 at the moment. I do understand that this new bill will benefit people that already have LC approved and in process of 140 and 485. But the problem is: nobody know how long is the visa# going to be "current" for both EB2 & EB3.
Now, I have 2 option:
1. Wait until I got my master, then start the LC, under EB2. This is my original plan... though it may seems that I'm wasting about 6-7 months from now until I got my master degree... I was hoping that EB2 is always much better and faster than EB3.
Advantage: EB2 is ALWAYS faster (or the same) than EB3. EB3 could take 1-2 yr longer than EB2 before the new July's bill
Disadvantage: I'm losing 6-7 months of time already from now until I got my master
2. Do the LC now under EB3. And hoping that the visa number for EB3 will still be current when I got LC approved.
Advantage: I'm saving/utilizing 6 months time from now until I got my master, and hoping that the # will still be current, or if not, the difference # on EB3/2 won't be as bad as before
Disadvantage: Probably EB3 won't be current anymore when I got LC approved, and EB3 will be much worse than EB2 like before (2 years different)
I'm from Indonesia by the way... it's not under the "special" countries on the EB2&3 category.
Please help me...
